Our fertilization and weed control program means a green, healthy lawn
Recommended routine maintenance is laid out in 7 rounds. We use high quality products to generate and maintain a weed free lawn with strong, deep roots.
Round 1 – Pre Spring (Jan / Feb)
Pre Emergent and Post Emergent – This round prevents and controls early season crabgrass, broadleaf, and grassy weeds.
Round 2 – Early Spring (March / April)
Pre Emergent and Post Emergent – This round extends the life of the pre emergent and will continue to prevent and control broadleaf, crabgrass, and grassy weeds.
Round 3 – Spring (April / May)
Fertilizer and Weed Control – we use a high quality granular fertilizer to promote a healthy lawn. If needed, weeds will be spot treated. Grub control (Optional).
Round 4 – Early Summer (June)
Fertilizer and Weed Control – This round includes a time-release fertilizer to encourage a thick, healthy green lawn. If needed, weeds will be spot treated. Grub control (Optional).
Round 5-Summer (July)
Fertilize and Spot Spray-
This will help keep your lawn thick and healthy.
Round 6 – Late Summer (Aug/Sep)
Fertilizer and Weed Control – This application is a slow-release granular winterizing fertilizer to promote deep root development to prepare your lawn for the dormant months. Weeds will be spot treated.
Round 7 – Fall (Oct – Dec)
Pre Emergent and Post Emergent – This is the last round of the year to prevent and control winter annual weeds from germination.
What is Aeration? Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots.
This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.
You want to aerate the lawn when your grass is in its peak growing period so it can recover quickly—think
early spring or fall for cool-season grasses, and late spring through early summer for warm-season grasses. If you have high-traffic areas or heavy clay soil, you will want to aerate every year.
WHAT IS OVERSEEDING? Overseeding is
the planting of grass seed directly into existing turf, without tearing up the turf, or the soil. It’s an easy way to fill in bare spots, improve the density of turf, establish improved grass varieties and enhance your lawn’s color.
For all grub species, we apply a treatment just after the larvae have hatched, in
late spring and early fall treatments, when the turf is moist.
Methods can include
eliminating mosquito larval habitats, applying larvicides to kill mosquito larvae, or spraying insecticides. Call about about our programs for mosquito control.
We have programs for flea, tick and spider prevention and control.
